GIS – 18 November 2025: The Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Holy See and Apostolic Nuncio for Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles and Comoros, Archbishop Tomasz Grysa, met the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, today, during a courtesy call at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis.
In a statement, Archbishop Grysa indicated that his meeting with the Prime Minister was cordial and fruitful. The meeting, he said, reiterates the usual engagement of both parties to work for the betterment of the population on the social and cultural level.
Discussions also focused on strengthening regional cooperation and maintaining peace and unity among the Indian Ocean region. The continued contribution of the Catholic Church in ensuring the welfare of the population was also highlighted by Archbishop Grysa.
