GIS – 19 November 2025: Lord Hamblen of Kersey paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, today, at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis.
Nicholas Archibald Hamblen, Lord Hamblen of Kersey, is a British judge currently serving as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. A specialist in maritime and commercial law before joining the judiciary, he became a Justice of the Supreme Court in January 2020.
Lord Hamblen was educated at St John’s College, University of Oxford, and Harvard Law School. He joined the High Court in November 2008 as a Justice and served as a nominated Commercial Court Judge. In February 2016, he was elevated to the Court of Appeal as a Lord Justice of Appeal.
