GIS – 12 February 2025: Trade and investment relations between the United Kingdom (UK) and Mauritius was on the agenda of the meeting today in Port Louis between the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam and His Majesty’s (HM) Trade Commissioner for Africa, Mr John Humphrey.
In a statement the Trade Commissioner mentioned that trade between the UK and Mauritius is increasing and looks forward for Government to creating the framework for more business activities and concrete projects with the UK.
Speaking on further promoting trade and investment, he outlined the importance of Mauritius as a hub in Africa for UK investors.
Discussions with the Prime Minister also focused on sectors such as health care, education and agriculture.
The HM Trade Commissioner for Africa will be meeting several Ministers during this week.
