GIS- 03 April 2025: The Bishop of Mauritius, The Right Reverend Stenio André, paid a courtesy call, today, on the Prime Minister, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam, at the New Treasury Building, in Port Louis.
In a statement, Reverend Stenio André said that his meeting with the Prime Minister was very friendly, providing an opportunity for them to get to know each other better. Their discussions, he said, primarily focused on current issues, specifically the country’s situation and its challenges as well as projects aimed at its recovery.
The Church, he pointed out, remains an ally of the Government. According to Reverend Stenio André, the Prime Minister responded positively to some of his requests and assured Government’s continued collaboration with the Church.
