GIS – 05 May 2025: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Anthony Albanese on his re-election as Prime Minister of Australia. He emphasised that the renewed mandate is a testament to the trust and confidence the Australian people have placed in his leadership, vision, and dedication to building a fairer and more inclusive nation.
In an official message, Prime Minister Ramgoolam recalled his meeting with Prime Minister Albanese during the latter’s transit through Mauritius last November, shortly after Dr. Ramgoolam’s own election as Prime Minister.
“It was a privilege to exchange a few words with you, and I remain hopeful that we will have the opportunity to further strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between our two nations in the near future,” stated Prime Minister Ramgoolam.
Prime Minister Ramgoolam extended his best wishes to his Australian counterpart for continued success throughout his tenure and for the ongoing prosperity of the Australian people.
